The present St. Joseph's Church is impressive because its massive structure is divided by geometric shapes, such as square stone blocks, triangles and cylinders. A massive pyramid-shaped roof covers the church. The exterior and the interior of the church have been given a rustic coating of plaster, which is the "trademark" of the architect Justus Dahinden. Built in the spirit of the 1970s, when churches were understood to be functional multipurpose rooms, St. Joseph's is nevertheless distinguished by a strong, religious character. The sacred and the secular, the church and the world meet here. The secular sphere includes the floor made of interlocking paving stones, and the windows made of completely transparent glass. The spiritual sphere is communicated primarily by the oxblood red colours in the interior and the indirect lighting. Together with the ceiling made of light-coloured wood, they give this space the proper atmosphere for services. St. Joseph's Parish Centre also includes a children's day centre, a cafeteria, meeting rooms and a nine-pin bowling alley.
