Eiszeit
Another highlight in the pre-Christmas period is the “ESWE-Eiszeit” (ESWE Ice Age) located only a few steps away from the Twinkling Star Christmas Market. This year again the motto for the “Eiszeit” at the Warmer Damm behind the Hessian State Theatre is: "On with the ice skates and off we go!".
Ice skates and curling
In addition to the approx. 800 sqm ice skating rink, three curling rinks are available again this year. And as every year there are already bookings for professional, but hopefully other light-hearted matches. The curling rinks can be easily reserved for an after-work game between colleagues by e-mail at
.
Ice rink and chalet
Whether ice skating or curling rink: both invite guests of all ages to go ice skating, to original matches or quite simply to a cosy get together in a great atmosphere. Chalets, mulled wine, sausages, gingerbread and co. provide that authentic “ice-age feeling“ again this year. In addition, the 100 sqm ski lodge is back again this year to warm up in. The team from Lumen is taking care of the gastronomic programme this year, and all sorts of winter fare are on offer. Here too, you can book a place in advance by e-mail at
.
Revelling and feasting
Two “Alpine chalets” will be set up and open for both small and larger functions again as part of the “Eiszeit”. The chalets can be rented privately and commercially guaranteeing a real party for your friends, acquaintances or colleagues.
The entrance fee for ice skating for children up to the age of twelve is three euro per day, and 3.50 euro for adults. The children’s ticket for ten visits costs 25 euro and 30 euro for adults. Ice skates can be hired for four euro. Half an hour on the curling rink costs 20 euro, an hour costs 35 euro.
