Schierstein Harbour festival

All around the Schierstein Harbour, the famous and popular harbour festival will be celebrated extensively for the 70th time from Friday to Monday, 6 to 9 July. It ends on Monday night with a fireworks display.

When Schierstein, a suburb of Wiesbaden located at the Rhine river, invites for its Harbour Festival, not only water and boat fans join the celebrations. For 70 years now, this festival has been a big summer event with an amusement park, water sports, a great range of music entertainment and a "culinary mile" along the harbour promenade. Especially the festival's dragon boat race attracts the crowds and challenges both the participating teams and the cheering spectators.

Popular highlight at the end of these festive days at Schierstein Harbour are the impressive fireworks illuminating the evening sky above the Rhine river. This is pure romantic harbour feeling, especially when looking at the illuminated boat corso.
