Location: Warmer Damm
The Harvest Festival of the Wiesbadener agriculturalists and the Office for Green Areas, Agriculture and Forestry will be celebrated on the green part of the Warmer Damm on Wilhelmstraße on 23 to 24 September, 2017. There is a farmers' market on both days at which producers of agricultural goods and associations were presenting themselves, and exhibiting and selling fresh produce from the fields and the garden. In addition to musical entertainment, useful information from the areas of agriculture and crafts were on offer.
Demonstrating the craftsmanship of former times is a tradition at the Harvest Festival, and so basket makers, coopers, shepherds and pottery makers delivered visitors insight into how they work. Children had a real treat because there was a lot on offer on the children's farm like stroking the sheep and cattle, climbing on the straw bale mountain, cutting tree grates with the pit saw or riding on coach rides through the park. Small competitions and a quiz also invited guests to take part. The foresters from the city forest and the Wiesbadener Waldjugend also contributed to the fun with throwing games in which there were small prizes for those with very good aim.
