Worth doing

Music, theatre, dance and comedy, as well as numerous festivals populate the calendar in Royal Tunbridge Wells and the Borough Tunbridge Wells, where gardening is an integral part of life, with all the variety the floral arts and landscape architecture have to offer.

The city also compels with its many churches, among them the King Charles the Martyr, which was built in 1678 with donations from visitors and named after Charles I. The corner stone for Holy Trinity Church was laid by the Duchess of Kent in honour of her birthday in 1827.
