  • Old Wiesbaden Businesses

  • History query

I am trying to get information hopefully in English about your first Mayor Heinrich Fischer (1849-1868). I am looking for any biographical information you have and a description of what he did as Mayor. I am trying to find out more about him also from a family perspective. He is my great great grandfather through his son Heinrich (Henry) and his son Hugo Fischer.

  • Thiel family

    Hi
I'm researching my Great Grandfather & have discovered that, after World War 1, he met & married an Elizabeth Thiel before moving to America.
I believe they were based in Weisbaden & that her father was a baker(?)
Any information anybody may have about his time in Weisbaden would be gratefully received. Additionally, any information that may help me further research Weisbaden would be helpful

Thank you for taking the time to read this message

  • A beautiful friendly city

I lived in Wiesbaden for a year in 2000, this website has made me think that I need to revisit my old home.

I really enjoyed living there and felt that if I ever decided to live in Germany permanently, Wiesbaden would be my first choice.

It is a beautiful city, with wonderful architecture and a real human-scale feel to it. I used to love walking around the city.

  • Eagle club (Kurhaus

I was working in the Eagle Club between July 1947 to October 1951 with the 7120th air base group, special services, motion picture section. In August 1948, Our Special Services officer, Captain Joel DeVolentine lost his life returning from Berlin during the Berlin Airlift (Luftbrücke). I hope to see Wiebaden again. Ich betrachte mich beinahe als Wiesbadener
