45th Germany Travel Mart (GTM)
At the Germany Travel Mart (GTM), a non-public forum featuring top-class participants, German travel providers present themselves to the most important buyers from the international travel industry. From 12 to 14 May 2019, around 1,000 delegates are expected to attend the event organised by the German National Tourist Board (GNTB). Among them will be around 350 international buyers, more than a hundred trade journalists from around the world as well as exhibitors from all over Germany offering city breaks, leisure activities, and tourist services.
Since 1972, the GTM has been held in a different city every year. It is considered the top event of the travel year. The city of Wiesbaden hosted the workshop twice already, in 1977 and 2005, when it was held at the Rhein-Main-Hallen conference centre.
The two-day workshop will take place at the new RheinMain CongressCenter (RMCC), where suppliers and buyers will meet for appointments agreed in advance to discuss professional issues. The official opening ceremony will be held on Sunday, 12 May 2019, at the Kurhaus, an evening event has been scheduled for Monday, 13 May 2019, at Eberbach Monastery, where the Rheingau region will present itself with a focus on "Wine and Pleasure". In addition to Wiesbaden Marketing GmbH, HA Hessen Agentur, Kulturland Rheingau, and Rheingauer Weinbauverband have joined forces to organise this prestigious event. Other partners include ESWE Verkehr as a logistics partner and the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences, whose students of tourism will also contribute to GTM 2019.
