Sparkassen Finanzgruppe Ironman Germany 70.3

Once again this year tens of thousands of spectators will follow the performances of over 3,000 professional and amateur athletes during the "hardest half-day of the year".

It starts with the swimming competition in Schierstein Harbour. After a 1.9 kilometre swim, the athletes will mount their bicycles for a difficult, 90-kilometre ride through the hills of the county of Rheingau-Taunus. The final stage is the 21.1 km run through Hesse's capital to the finish line in the Kurpark.
