Culture in diverse variations - accessible for all levels of population and ages: this is the maxim of the cultural centre Schlachthof Wiesbaden, originally the city slaughter house. In the past 10 years it has enthused more than 1.5 million visitors of great new ideas and a wide variety of events.
The former "Smokehouse" and the "Great Hall" of this former slaughter house lend space for productions and audiences from 350 up to 1.800 guests.
Beside concerts and disco nights the programme includes theatre performances, fairs, comedy and cabaret shows.
The cultural centre includes a house with 28 rehearsal rooms for music bands, art studios as well as a catering service called "Die Hofköche" and a bar named "60/40".
