Schiller Monument

The Schiller monument is located in front of the southern cladding of the Hessian State Theatre and was arranged on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the death of Friedrich von Schiller. The monument was built by the sculptor Joseph Uphues.
In camparison to Goethe Schiller never stayed in Wiesbaden hiimself.
The bust of Schiller, which had to give way to the monument of Kaiser Friedrich, is located at the schoolyard of the Leibnizschule.
