Monuments
The Hessian State Capital presents a variety of monuments. Those were built to commemorate historic events or famous people leaving their traces in the city.

In front of the Market Church, which was built between 1852 and 1862 by Karl Boos, a monument is located - the Silent - for Wilhelm von Oranien (1533-1584).

The Schiller monument is located behind the Hessian State Theatre at the entrance of the park Warmer Damm.
