Around the Pedestrian Zone

The pedestrian zone ranges over more than one kilometre in the Kirchgasse and Langgasse. Large department stores, well-known chains, retailers as well as other fashion chains from different manufacturers can be found here. A diverse range of gastronomy also invites you to take a break in the shopping area. The centrally located Mauritiusplatz with ist trick fountains, plenty of seats and a cafe is the ideal place to start or end a prolonged shopping spree.

Shopping Malls

Those who baulk at the long walk through the shopping area can look forward to a range of goods under one roof. The two shopping centres, LuisenForum at the end of the pedestrian zone and Lilien-Carré at the Wiesbaden main train station, captivate with their central location and offer the right goods for all tastes on several floors.

Historical District and Market

Directly beside the vast pedestrian zone, the old quarter of Wiesbaden promises you a „journey of the senses“. On streets arranged in the shape of a ship’s bow, retailers offer fine wines, choice oils and an enthralling range of spices and floral art for example. A great amount of creativity and individuality are also concealed in the old part of the city – and thus a large number of goldsmiths work in open workshops behind their shop windows. Smaller boutiques tempt with tailor-made fashions, leatherwear and home accessories. On the Dern’sches Gelände the Wiesbaden farmers’ market offers a huge variety of fruit and vegetables, agricultural and forestry produce and fish every Wednesday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. here.

Wilhelmstrasse, Taunusstrasse, Hot-springs District

An exclusive shopping experience promises the Wilhelmstrasse, the Taunusstrasse and the Quellenviertel. The multifaceted and ambitious attractive mix offers extravagant boutiques, furniture and home accessories, antiques and gourmet food, as well as fine jewellery and designer fashions. Interspersed among the shops, the diversity of Italian and international cuisine is tempting as is a rich selection of Rheingau wines.
