Spectacular and popular sporting events invite guests to come to Wiesbaden, every year.
Whether the Sparkassen Finanzgruppe Ironman 70.3, the International Horse Show at Whitsun, the Funsport Days in the heart of the city centre or the Olympic Ball Night at the Kurhaus – they all represent a selection of outstanding sporting events in and around the state capital.
Wiesbaden is a city of sport and a destination for sport enthusiasts. No matter what age you are or whether you participate as an active sportsman or a spectator - Wiesbaden offers something for everyone. In terms of society sport events too, the state capital plays in the top league – this is demonstrated not least by the Sport Ball of the German Sport Foundation at the convention and event centre Rhein-Main-Hallen. Every year in February the foundation will roll out the red carpet for the top athletes and a happy mixture of political, showbiz and film celebrities.
