RheinMainCard

For people living in Hesse and guests to the region, the new "RheinMainCard" offers a new way of discovering the FrankfurtRheinMain Region for next to nothing.

The RheinMainCard is pulling the cities and the surrounding region closer together. Connecting people and places, the new activity card makes for real closeness. As a result of this successful cooperation, distances become shorter, turning cities and the region into even more attractive tourist destinations with high recreational value. The new tourism cooperation project of the FrankfurtRheinMain Region has recently been launched.

The new activity card connects people and places – be it for a shopping spree in the city or for a hike in the countryside. It increases mobility for the people who live here as well as for tourists, while linking cultural locations and recreational facilities.

Holders of the card may travel in the FrankfurtRheinMain Region, and discover more than forty attractions on two consecutive days. Never before has it been as easy to explore the region as by using the RheinMainCard.

Individual travellers pay 22 euros, groups of up to five persons 46 euros for the card. It is valid throughout the entire Rhine-Main Regional Transport Association (RMV) area of operations. On top of that, it offers attractive discounts for a number of recreational facilities in the region, e.g. the Freilichtmuseum Hessenpark open-air museum, Opelvillen art exhibition centre in Rüsselsheim, Museum Wiesbaden, the Frankfurt Palmengarten botanical garden, or the German Ivory Museum at Erbach Palace.

The project is the culmination of several years of effective cooperation among members of the Rhine-Main Tourism working group whose aim is to jointly promote the FrankfurtRheinMain Region as a tourist destination, and benefiting from synergies in the process.

People live in, and enjoy visiting, one of the most diversified regions in Germany. The new card is testimony to this fact. It is of paramount importance that the RMV transport association connects key tourist areas in the Rhine-Main region with the urban centres. The gorgeous winter weather we had since early February 2017, has shown that many people used public transport to reach the Feldberg mountain region at the weekends.
