Weingut Ernst Rußler

The origins of the Rußler family are in Oestrich from where the founder of the winery, Michael Rußler, moved to Rauenthal in 1725 and set up a mixed farming operation. In 1966, the decision was taken to operate a winery solely for still and sparkling wines at the time when the father, Benedikt, passed the business on to the current owner, Ernst Rußler. This decision was spot on: Several awards, increasing customer acceptance and not least the tavern running since 1980 created the current brand awareness of Weingut Rußler in the Rheingau winescape. The new buildings in Kaltenborn were completed in April 2012. With the reopening of the attached tavern, the business was passed on to the new owners, Uta and Michaela Rußler.
