Printshop Building

Langgasse 21

The Pressehaus, or printshop building, which since 1904 has housed the Wiesbadener Kurier, Wiesbaden's daily newspaper, was once home to a printshop by the name of Schellenberg’sche Hofdruckerei.

The architects Lang & Wolff had the printshop built of red sandstone and selected forms from late historicism as well as individual Jugendstil elements.

The copper statue "Knowledge" by the sculptor Philipp Modrow stands on the ridge of the roof. Jugendstil is especially recognisable by the artistic design of the interiors and the window panes.
