Call for applications for the Follow Fluxus Scholarship 2025/26
Artists can apply for the Follow Fluxus Grant 2025/26 until December 3, 2025. The aim of the grant is to support international artists whose work is linked to the transnational, multicultural and interdisciplinary Fluxus art movement.
In cooperation with the Hessian state capital, the Nassauischer Kunstverein Wiesbaden has been awarding the "Follow Fluxus - Fluxus and the Consequences" scholarship every year since 2008. With seventeen artists now supported, the aim of the scholarship is to promote international artists whose work is linked to the transnational, multicultural and interdisciplinary Fluxus art movement. The legendary "Fluxus International Festival of New Music" series of events in Wiesbaden in 1962 laid a central foundation stone for the international reception of Fluxus, which continues to this day.
Scholarship
The scholarship provides a grant of 10,000 euros and includes a three-month working scholarship from June to August 2026. During this time, the scholarship holder can live and work rent-free in the studio house of the Kunsthaus Wiesbaden. A fully furnished living room/bedroom with shower/WC and a studio (70 square meters in total) are available free of charge. Afterwards, an exhibition of the resulting works will be presented in the exhibition rooms on the third floor of the Nassauischer Kunstverein Wiesbaden. In order to establish new networks and strengthen existing contacts, it is assumed that the artist will spend the majority of the scholarship period in Wiesbaden.
The submitted project proposal should build on the ideas and practices of the Fluxus movement and make a significant contribution to its further development and contemporary transformation in the 21st century. Artists are invited to formulate their visions in this spirit and to open up new perspectives on Fluxus-related art practices with creative, innovative approaches. International and national artists from all areas of the visual and performing arts who can demonstrate a degree in art as well as relevant practice and exhibition experience are eligible for funding. Applications from self-taught artists who are characterized by special artistic achievements and can prove this through exhibitions and prizes are possible.
