Tips from the team
Sonja: I love the weekly market in Wiesbaden! Strolling past the stalls on Saturdays, buying fresh flowers and then browsing in the interior store"drinneN (opens in a new tab)" - simply beautiful! Afterwards, head for a cappuccino at"sbagliato (opens in a new tab)" or a sparkling wine at the Balthasar Ress (opens in a new tab) or Laquai (opens in a new tab) wine bars. Mauergasse is like a small catwalk, perfect for people-watching!
Leona: I love meeting up with friends for breakfast at the weekend, for example at the Delikt Tagbar (opens in a new tab) in the Alter Gericht, which offers an extensive brunch on Sundays. I also like the alternative charm of Hier & Jetzt (opens in a new tab) in the Westend (be sure to try the cardamom knots here). Wild & Wood (opens in a new tab) serves fresh bowls and sandwiches - my favorite is the pistachio pancake! 😉 Afterwards, a walk with a Strawberry Matcha from the Overflow Café is a must - either in the Kurpark or in the Nero Valley. Beautiful green oases to relax and watch the seasons change!
Vivienne: My favorite place in Wiesbaden is definitely Frauenstein with its beautiful vineyards from where you have such a beautiful view of the surrounding hills, forests and vineyards. Especially when the leaves on the vines slowly change color in autumn - what an atmosphere, what a sight! Whether at the Goethestein or the Himmelreich apple wine tavern (opens in a new tab) - Frauenstein's vineyards provide a great panorama from every point and are perfect for a relaxing walk.
The cherry blossom in spring around April and May also creates a very special picture when the cherry trees blossom white between the vineyards. And in summer, I like to drive to the numerous cherry stands at both entrances to the village - because Frauenstein cherries are known to be the best. 😊
