April!
What I'm really looking forward to this month:
- Here’s to the reopening of the Caligari FilmBühne (opens in a new tab) on April 2!
- Visiting new museums, art spaces, and galleries I haven’t seen yet during the Short Night (opens in a new tab). And being chauffeured in style by the shuttle service in one of the 90 lovingly maintained classic cars.
- Taking the Nerobergbahn, which is back from its winter break, to Chateau Néro (opens in a new tab) (opening April 2) and enjoying a glass of wine there with a view of the city.
- Taking the bike repair class (opens in a new tab) on April 11 at Radler to learn how to fix my bike myself!
- Getting to know the Rheingau wine culture at the "Fête Terroir" (opens in a new tab) at Biebrich Palace and celebrating and dancing in the festive atmosphere!
- Looking forward to the evening with Daniel Hollegha (opens in a new tab) at the Reinhard Ernst Museum. The son of artist Wolfgang Hollegha will lead a tour of the exhibition “Don’t Think, Look!” on April 15.
- Strolling through the vineyards during the Kiedrich Wine Trail (opens in a new tab) from April 4 to 6 and treating myself to fine wines and homemade delicacies.
- Discovering new wineries during the Rheingau Gourmet Weeks (opens in a new tab) from April 24 to May 3 and having a good time with friends—for example, at the “Grilled Delights, Chill Beats, and Fine Wines” evening on April 25 at Restaurant Chamamé.
- Let myself be swept away into the world of Eastern European cinema at the goEast Festival (opens in a new tab) from April 21 to 27.
- Go on a picnic! “Genuss im Gepäck” (opens in a new tab) offers some really great wine-and-picnic tours.
- Discovering a new weekly market (opens in a new tab), for example the one in Bierstadt, and stopping by Broterben (opens in a new tab) while I’m there.
Are you in? Have a great April! :-)
