RMCC and Kurhaus Wiesbaden again certified with Green Globe - focus on double materiality analysis
The RheinMain CongressCenter (RMCC) and Kurhaus Wiesbaden were once again awarded the international Green Globe sustainability seal in 2025. With the third re-certification, the venues are sending a strong signal for sustainability in practice and are now starting the double materiality analysis.
The RheinMain CongressCenter (RMCC) and Kurhaus Wiesbaden have once again received Green Globe certification in 2025 - for the third time since the first award in December 2022. The renowned international seal is regarded as a benchmark for sustainable event locations and uses 44 mandatory and around 380 additional criteria to assess aspects such as environmental management, energy efficiency, resource conservation and social and economic responsibility.

Among other things, we have developed a sustainable congress promotion program that specifically supports sustainable event management.
As a next strategic step, WICM has initiated the implementation of a double materiality analysis. This involves examining both the company's impact on the environment and society and the influence of sustainability factors on the company's success. The aim is to clearly identify the most important sustainability issues from the perspective of the company and its key stakeholders - including customers, employees and partners.

The renewed Green Globe certification underlines the claim to play a pioneering role in sustainable event planning not only in the Rhine-Main region, but also throughout Europe.
