Kurhaus Wiesbaden once again certified with Green Globe - focus on double materiality analysis
Kurhaus Wiesbaden was awarded the international Green Globe sustainability seal for the third time in a row in 2025. The renewed certification underlines the hotel's commitment to anchoring sustainability strategically and in the long term - the next step: the double materiality analysis.
Kurhaus Wiesbaden has once again received Green Globe certification in 2025 - for the third time since the first award in December 2022. The award is one of the most prestigious sustainability seals in the international event industry. The criteria tested include environmental management, energy efficiency, resource conservation and social and economic responsibility.
Christiane Seelgen, authorized signatory and sales manager of Wiesbaden Congress & Marketing GmbH (WICM)We are proud that we have not only integrated sustainability in all areas at the Kurhaus, but have continuously developed it further. Event organizers benefit from our measures and can thus directly meet the CSR requirements of their customers. Among other things, we have developed a sustainable congress promotion program that supports sustainable event management.
As a next step, WICM has initiated a double materiality analysis. It examines both the company's impact on the environment and society and the influence of sustainability factors on the company's success. The aim is to identify the relevant issues for customers, partners and employees from two perspectives and to integrate them into the corporate strategy in a targeted manner.
With its historic architecture, modern event technology and a clear focus on sustainability, the Kurhaus Wiesbaden stands for an event offering that combines tradition and future orientation - and thus sets standards for sustainable event planning in Germany.
