Section between the concert shell and pond temporarily closed

A section of the Wiesbaden Kurpark between the concert shell and the pond is temporarily closed.

Spa gardens with drained water
Kurpark Wiesbaden - Part of the park temporarily closed.

The area between the concert shell and the pond in Wiesbaden Kurpark will be closed for around a week. This is due to remaining work in connection with the flood overflow structure and follow-up measures that have become necessary as a result of recent heavy rainfall events. Circulation is still possible, and the area between the Kurhaus and the concert shell is also open for passage.

The heavy rainfall has shown that the surface water can no longer drain away sufficiently due to the topography having been adjusted by the installation of the structure. To improve this, a seepage pack will be installed along the edge between the Kurparkweg (asphalt) and the Konzertplatz (gravel) to reliably drain the water away. In addition, a road drain will be installed on the opposite side of the path.

The City of Wiesbaden asks for your understanding for the restrictions.
