Anna Loos & Jan Josef Liefers - Reading "Nobody said that you should move out"
Wednesday, December 03, 2025 | 8:00 pm | Kurhaus Wiesbaden
Experience an extraordinary stage event with two of Germany's most popular acting stars: Anna Loos and Jan Josef Liefers bring Nick Hornby's profound yet humorous relationship story live to the stage of the Kurhaus Wiesbaden.
After completely sold-out dates in 2024 and early 2025, the acclaimed reading will enter the next round in fall 2025 - with a production that is far more than a classic reading. With a great sense of nuance, humor and emotional depth, Loos and Liefers slip into the roles of a married couple who meet again after many years in a relationship.
The play is based on the novel "Nobody said you should move out" by bestselling author Nick Hornby and tells the story of Tom and Louise, who try to save their marriage with the help of therapy. Week after week, they meet in a pub before their sessions - a place for reflection, arguing, silence and understanding.
With minimal stage design, intense dialogues, musical moments - including the touching duet "If I Needed You" - and subtle British humor, the two actors create an atmospheric theatrical experience that delights the audience.
An evening full of emotion, depth and quiet comedy - haunting, authentic and true to life.
