An encounter with the great Romantic spirit: under the baton of 21-year-old Maximilian Haberstock, founder of the Munich Young Philharmonic Orchestra, outstanding young musicians from over twenty-five nations come together - a new generation of excellence.

Together with the extraordinary American pianist Maxim Lando, they will perform Wagner's Prelude to Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, Liszt's Piano Concerto No. 2 and Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 - three milestones of romantic passion and symphonic power.

Youthful energy, precision and remarkable artistic maturity combine to create a concert that impressively demonstrates what the future of orchestral music-making can sound like.

Maximilian Haberstock

The 21-year-old Munich conductor is one of the most exciting young musical personalities of his generation. He made his conducting debut with the Olten Philharmonic Orchestra, where he was appointed Principal Guest Conductor in 2023. In the same year, he conducted his first opera with Bizet's Les Pêcheurs de Perles at the Opera Română Craiova. He has been a guest at the Verbier Festival several times, including as assistant to James Gaffigan, and in summer 2023 he became the youngest participant to date in the Gstaad Conducting Academy. Haberstock is the founder and chief conductor of the Young Philharmonic Orchestra Munich and has performed with renowned soloists such as Alban Gerhardt and Daniel Müller-Schott.

Maxim Lando

The 23-year-old American pianist Maxim Lando is highly regarded for his virtuosity and stage presence. He gained international attention in 2017 with his performance alongside Lang Lang, Chick Corea and the Philadelphia Orchestra at the opening gala of Carnegie Hall. Following his US tour with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, he recently wowed German audiences with his expressiveness and artistic maturity in his debut at the Alte Oper Frankfurt. His awards include the Vendome Grand Prize, the International German Piano Award and the Khaledi Prize 2025.

Young Philharmonic Orchestra Munich

was founded in 2023 by Maximilian Haberstock. Since then, the orchestra has grown from 52 to 93 musicians from over 20 nations and has impressed audiences and critics alike with concerts featuring outstanding soloists such as Alban Gerhardt, Daniel Müller-Schott and Eva Gevorgyan. This remarkable orchestra brings together top international musicians of the next generation - with the vision of growing into one of the leading international orchestras of the future.
