Beautiful Boy

Many films deal with drug abuse. But few also address the direct effects on the addict's environment.

BEAUTIFUL BOY

How can relatives deal with the despair and addictive behavior of their loved one without losing themselves in the process? What does it do to a family when someone does not shy away from lies and other breaches of trust in order to obtain their addictive substance? Based on true events, the film deals with a young man's addiction to the synthetic drug crystal meth. It cleverly combines the son's perspective with that of the father, who does everything he can to save his son.
