Ten-year-old Eia is very disappointed: her parents simply send her to a friend's house for Christmas because they have to work. The girl doesn't even know the oddball farmer on whose farm she is supposed to celebrate Christmas. When she arrives, however, she immediately senses the magical atmosphere of the magic owl forest. But the harmony is disturbed by the greedy caretaker Ravio.
