Color grading with DaVinci Resolve
Color can be used to express emotion, create atmosphere, and set the tone.
Color grading is much more than just "beautifying" images—it is a creative process that has a decisive influence on the visual language of a film.
In this workshop with filmmaker André Jagusch, you will experience how flat LOG material can be transformed into an expressive look. On the first day, you will shoot a scene together with actors from a drama school (cooperation requested) – from different perspectives and with cameras recording in LOG format. You will experience how important lighting, camera work, and staging are for the subsequent grading.
Afterwards, you will begin working in the editing room: you will create moods, highlight or retouch details, develop looks, and tell stories with color. You will work with DaVinci Resolve—software that combines editing, grading, and audio post-production and is also used in Hollywood. The modern user interface is easy to learn and offers features for professionals.
Prior knowledge is helpful but not essential.
