Creative preparatory work is required even before the start of the Easter vacations: participants are invited to submit a film idea on the theme "Really true?". The film idea can be sent to the media center as a continuous text, in keywords, as a comic or as a voice message: filmreifmdz-wide

At the beginning of the workshop, a joint idea is developed from the individual ideas and then filmed. The young filmmakers do everything themselves: from make-up and costumes, acting and operating the camera to the sound.

The film and other projects of the media center are presented to the families and school classes of the participants on the big screen in the Caligari FilmBühne. Participants should therefore be aware that the resulting short film will be shown to the public. We will let you know in good time when this will be!

How strict are you about telling the truth? Have you ever been in situations where you needed to tell a white lie - to protect someone, for example? And aren't stories in books and films also made up and therefore somehow untrue? Can they still convey a truth? Have you ever been amazed when you've experienced crazy coincidences or heard about facts that you couldn't believe - simply because they were as unusual as some peculiarities from the animal kingdom, for example? There is an incredible amount of information on the internet, but can we trust it or do we always have to check where the information comes from? Even with the help of artificial intelligence, false knowledge can be spread and photos and videos can be altered so deceptively real that it is almost impossible to distinguish between truth and lies. It is therefore particularly important to keep asking yourself: "Is this really true?"

You can come up with lots of ideas for this year's motto "Really true?" and we look forward to hearing yours!

Each child can take part in filmreif a maximum of two times. All participants must submit a film idea, which must be submitted at the latest when downloading the participation card. Parents and participants should agree to the recording.
