Now in its fourth generation, the H. J. Ernst winery cultivates vineyards in the best locations in the upper Rheingau. When developing their wines, the winegrowers combine wine culture with innovation and thus guarantee traditional wines with a contemporary, modern character. From viticulture to cellar technology, they have only one goal - quality. The fact that they have already been awarded the State Prize of Honor of the State of Hesse nine times speaks for the quality of their wines. They primarily grow Riesling and Pinot Noir on over 33 hectares. These grape varieties, which are as traditional as they are typical for the Rheingau, find ideal climatic conditions in their vineyards in and around Eltville.
