About us

"Small but mighty" is the quality motto of their winegrowers' cooperative, which covers just twelve hectares in the romantically situated Frauenstein district of Wiesbaden. Since 1898, they have naturally devoted themselves primarily to growing Riesling (80 percent of the vineyard area). But Pinot Noir red wine also has a long tradition in Frauenstein, as is otherwise only the case in Assmannshausen in the Rheingau. The Kabinett selection wines bottled in the elegant, long Schlegel bottle are called "Ritter von Vrowenstein". Available in dry, semi-dry and sweet flavors, they are intended to appeal to the discerning wine lover who appreciates good value for money.
