The agricultural tradition of the Höhn family in Dotzheim goes back more than 300 years. After winegrowing had hardly played a role for generations, it was senior Wilhelm Höhn who was the first to offer Dotzheim wine in bottles again in 1979. The "Judenkirsch" vineyard has since taken its place among the Rheingau wines. Since then, the Wilhelm Höhn winery has grown continuously and expanded its vineyards to include Schierstein and Frauenstein sites, so that the Dotzheim site soon became too small. The ten-year search for a better, larger site has now come to a happy end. The Wilhelm Höhn winery, now run by agricultural engineer and master winemaker Jürgen Höhn, has established itself on the Freudenberg.
