In addition to the traditional Riesling and Pinot Noir varieties (Assmannshäuser Höllenberg), the Meine Freiheit winery is also returning to other old grape varieties. A Pinot Gris, also known as Ruländer, is being cultivated again, as is the rediscovered variety Roter Riesling or the yellow Orleans. "Nature gives us a new task in the vineyards every year," is Sascha Magsamen's credo. The aim of the work in the vineyard and in the cellar is not uniformity but individuality of the vintages and wines. The harvest quantities are deliberately kept well below the usual targets in order to achieve the highest possible quality of grapes.
