The roots of the winery go back to 1618 in the "Gothic wine village" of Kiedrich, and under the name Steinmacher since 1792. It is both astonishing and formative for the family that each generation seamlessly continues the tradition of viticulture. Today, the Jakob Steinmacher and Son winery is run by Winfried and Johannes Steinmacher. Winfried Steinmacher, who holds the office of full-time mayor of Kiedrich, is supported by several employees. The winery currently cultivates around 9.5 hectares of vines. All products are grown on the estate's own vineyards.
