With a healthy dose of pride, the Karl-Werner Faust winery can look back on over a hundred years of experience in viticulture. In the Martinsthal, Eltville and Walluf districts, they mainly cultivate Riesling, classically complemented by Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc. While they have always paid attention to extensive and environmentally friendly cultivation, this became official in the summer of 2008: Weingut Faust switched to organic viticulture. Now the rows of vines are supplied with nitrogen and minerals by means of versatile greenery rather than chemical fertilizers. Out of conviction and environmental awareness, they have had their wines certified by the German Vegetarian Association. All wines from the 2012 vintage onwards have been produced purely vegan.
