Klerner Winery

The Klerner winery, idyllically situated in Walluf, the historic gateway to the Rheingau, welcomes you.

In 1870, Josef Klerner I acquired the first vineyard in the enchanting Niederwalluf district. This historic vineyard once belonged to the "Kieskaut" site and is now known as Oberberg.
In 1876, he expanded his estate with another vineyard in what was then the "Schimberg" vineyard site, which is now known as Walkenberg. Over the course of time, further exclusive vineyards typical of the Rheingau were gradually acquired in order to expand the range and maintain the high quality standard.

The winery has been family-owned for over 150 years and is currently managed by the 6th generation. On February 21, 1925, the first Straußwirtschaft opened its doors and has been spoiling its guests with its own wines and delicious snacks all year round ever since. As the oldest wine-growing community in the Rheingau, Walluf is a proud part of the "first pearl" along the Rheingau Riesling Route on the majestic Rhine. Since our foundation in 1870, our family-run winery has cultivated the tradition of first-class wines from the best vineyards in Walluf, which impress with their quality and taste.
