About us
The roots of the winery go back to the 13th century. It passed from the important reformer Friedrich Karl Reichsfreiherr von und zum Stein to the Counts of Kanitz as part of the succession in 1926. As early as 1968, the winery switched to organic viticulture, making it one of the pioneers in the Rheingau. Today, the winery is managed by Marc Leitis, who acts with foresight and, if necessary, carefully intervenes. His aim is to live up to this claim in his work with grapes, must and wine. This alone preserves the subtle differences between the vineyards and varieties.
