Karl-Heinz Hamm already took a clear stance on environmental protection and moral responsibility during his viticulture studies. He has been practicing organic viticulture in the vineyard site "Dachsberg - Steillage - Rotschiefer" since 1977. As this significantly improved the quality of the wines, he converted all the vineyards to organic viticulture. After just three years of organic viticulture, the vines in the Dachsberg developed healthier, they developed a longer, stronger green color, he was able to fully exploit the grape ripeness and for the first time harvested the best grapes in this location for a late harvest with a lot of spice and power.
