Winery Dr. Gietz
The history of the winery began as early as 1850. At that time, Johann Klein, also the founder of the Johannisberg machine factory, laid the foundations for a flourishing wine business. By 1896, he had expanded the vineyards and had spacious cellar buildings erected, which are still in use today. The manor house was built in 1898 by Josef Klein in the historicist style with Art Nouveau elements by the architect Georg Hartmann from Geisenheim. Gerhard Gietz has been running the winery with expert hands and a great deal of knowledge since 1984.
