Wine has been grown at Schloss Johannisberg for 1200 years, and exclusively Riesling since 1720. This is the cradle of one of the oldest and noblest grape varieties in the world. 50 hectares in size, facing due south. A quartzite hill in front of the Taunus massif. With a slope of 45 degrees, the hill extends up to 182 meters above sea level and offers the grapes perfect sunlight.
