About us

When the Spätlese was discovered on the Johannisberg in 1775, the Trenz family had already been winegrowers with heart and soul for 105 years. This is no reason for them to rest on their laurels. Fine wines require commitment and the winemaker's willingness to keep breaking new ground. This is the only way to stay at the top. The wines are increasingly being recognized for their quality and character by independent sources. The winery was awarded two grapes by Gault Millau for "Discovery of the Year 2008". Since 2013, the Trenz winery has been supplying German President Joachim Gauck with its Rieslings for trips abroad and state receptions.
