The "Werkstatt Kabel 2026" conference will take place on November 24 and 25, 2026, at the RheinMain CongressCenter in Wiesbaden. Organized by EW Medien, this conference is regarded as the most important gathering for specialists and executives from the fields of network operations, network services, industry, civil engineering, planning, and research in the German-speaking world.

The focus is on current developments in cable technology, innovative measurement and testing technology, new diagnostic procedures, as well as technical and regulatory requirements in cable civil engineering. The event offers a practical and wide-ranging lecture program in the auditorium, as well as a total of nine specialized forums where specific topics are explored in depth through direct exchange.

Participants can customize their own conference schedule and benefit from an intensive exchange of experiences with experts from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The technical program is complemented by an accompanying exhibition featuring new technology and innovative equipment, as well as two evening networking events.

The Kabel Workshop has been held biennially since 2014 and is aimed at employees of network operators and network service companies, representatives from industry and universities, engineers, planners, purchasers, and manufacturers of equipment, components, and software.
