Highlights
Wiesbaden offers a number of highlights around the shooting star market during the Christmas season - for example, a very special Christmas tree awaits you every year in the foyer of the Kurhaus!
Christmas tree
The poinsettia - Euphorbia pulcherrima - also known as the Advent star or Christmas star, is a plant species from the spurge family. And it is precisely these over 2,000 red poinsettias that make up the special Christmas tree that lights up the foyer of the Kurhaus in a wonderful red.
This atmospheric tradition has been an integral part of the pre-Christmas activities at the Kurhaus for over 25 years. With a height of over eight meters, it is unique in its kind and a beloved landmark of the Kurhaus during the Christmas season.
