Wiesbaden Weekly Market
All is still in order at seven o’clock in the morning. This applies to the Wiesbaden Weekly Market in particular. The smell of fresh coffee, bread, flowers, herbs, fruit and vegetables forms an unforgettable scent that hangs above the Dern´sches Gelände at the Rathaus (City Hall). This is where over 80 self-producers and traders offer products from the region. Nothing is left to be desired and when the sun is at its highest point above the square, it is evident that even politicians know something about good food. Both are in abundance at and in the direct vicinity of the Weekly Market which is held right beside the Hessian Landtag (seat of local government) and the Wiesbaden Rathaus (City Hall). How about a sausage or a vegetarian crêpe from 12 p.m... Waiting in the queue is well rewarded here. The food is always fresh and tastes delicious. It’s all over at 2 p.m.
