Product in March: Sock wool "Nizza-Plätzchen"

Once a month, the Tourist Information presents a special product from the region - in March 2020, the Wiesbaden sock wool "Nizza-Plätzchen". It is available at the Tourist Information on the market square and online.

The Wiesbaden sock wool "Nizza-Plätzchen" is a classic sock yarn with a run length of 420m to 100gr, it consists of 75% high-quality new wool and 25% polyamide. This ensures softness, highest wearing comfort and stability.

The yarn is as well ideal to knitt baby and children's clothing, but also scarves can be worked with.

The "Nizza-Plätzchen" is a small square in the Wiesbaden Kurpark, located at the entrance on the right of the Kurhaus. Lovingly laid out with early bloomers and shrubs, this place awakens spring feelings. Claudia Weyrich from "Tausendschön wool" and Markus Hurley "Herr von Strick" were inspired by this mood to create a cheerful, pastel-colored tint.

For more than 15 years, the name "Tausendschön wool " has stood for first-class, innovative and inspiring hand dyeing on high-quality yarns. Since May 2018 the wool shop "Herr von Strick-Wolle for beautiful one-offs" has been in Wiesbaden a meeting point for handicraft friends looking for something special in the highest quality. The idea of the "Wiesbaden Edition" was born from a shared passion for wool.

Ulla Duve taught her nephew Markus Hurley more than forty years ago how to knit and does nothing better than to knit socks - in gratitude this special Wiesbaden edition sock yarn is dedicated to her.
