Health and welfare advice
In the course of life, everyone is exposed to a variety of influences and influences that can often lead to a temporary or permanent illness. If a person is no longer able to work due to an illness or a crisis in their life, social welfare can help them. On the one hand, they can receive financial support in the form of assistance with living expenses during their reduction in earning capacity and, on the other hand, they can make use of the support and advice provided by the health and welfare advice service to stabilize their health situation. The prerequisite is the receipt of SGB XII benefits and a temporary reduction in earning capacity, i.e. benefits in accordance with Chapter 3 of SGB XII.
The tasks of health and welfare counseling:
- Individual advice on personal life situations, illnesses and crises
- Support and assistance with medical and therapeutic connections to GPs, specialists, therapists and clinics
- Connection to other social institutions, cooperation partners and self-help groups
- Support in applying for assistance, such as rehabilitation measures, applying for a pension, a care degree, assisted living or a degree of disability
- Support, advice and awareness-raising for family members
- Support in developing new life prospects and career opportunities, taking health restrictions into account
- Connection to medical and professional reintegration measures (e.g. work trials)
- and much more.
