Christmas in Wiesbaden

Advent Concert of the Gesellschaft Bürger und Polizei e.V. partnership initiative

On Friday, 13 December, the Gesellschaft Bürger und Polizei e.V. partnership initiative will give an Advent concert at the Marktkirche, or Market Church. It starts at 7:30 p.m., admission is free, while donations for charity are appreciated.

The 25th Advent concert of the Gesellschaft Bürger und Polizei e.V. partnership initiative will be a highlight at the Marktkirche in the heart of Wiesbaden, and for many citizens of Wiesbaden, an event not to be missed. The charity concert, which draws up to 700 concert aficionados every year, will be organised in collaboration with the police chaplaincy of the Protestant Church in Hesse and Nassau.

The Hesse State Police Orchestra will be performing with the Gospel Soul Notes gospel choir, with the proceeds going to charity. The musicians will be enchanting the audience with their varied programme. Ranging from classical music for wind instruments to film scores and light music, there is nothing that could not be wrapped into a pre-Christmas appearance thanks to trombones, trumpets, flutes, and extraordinary voices.

This year's donations from the charity concert will go to Zora and Upstairs. Last year, the Wiesbaden Food Bank was happy to receive 2,500 euros.
