On the road with ... the Thermine

The Thermine is the little streetcar that takes you comfortably to the most important sights in Wiesbaden and provides you with entertaining information along the way.

Thermine on the marketplace

Climb aboard, please! Every day - including Sundays and public holidays - you can discover the Hessian state capital in comfort on the "Tour de Wiesbaden" during an approximately 50-minute city tour. The tour starts in the shadow of the Marktkirche, at the "Markt" stop opposite the Tourist Information.

The tour, with a text penned by Andreas P. Wagner and moderated by the unforgettable actor and TV presenter Nick Benjamin, continues along the "Rue" - Wilhelmstraße - to the Bowling Green with the Kurhaus and the Hessian State Theater Wiesbaden.

Along the Kurpark and magnificent villas, you will reach the Russian Orthodox Church (popularly known as the "Greek Chapel") with its golden onion domes and the Nerobergbahn - Germany's only funicular railroad still operated with water ballast.

You can interrupt your journey at both stops and continue it at a later time if there is enough space. Unfortunately, for logistical reasons, it is not possible to make a reservation for re-entry.

The final section of the tour then takes you from Nerotal via Taunusstraße with its many unique stores to the historic Kranzplatz and the hottest and probably most famous thermal spring in the city: the Kochbrunnen. From here, the route continues across Schlossplatz past the town hall, the city palace (Hessian state parliament) and the Marktkirche church back to Markt, the starting point of the tour.
