Soul Food

Pizza is soul food! Fortunately, Wiesbaden is blessed with sooo many good pizzerias. Here are a few favorites ...

Tutti Frutti

Terrace Tutti Frutti
Pizza in the sun

Who is it for? Couples, families, friends, coworkers—basically everyone! Just not for larger groups, since reservations aren’t accepted

The crust: Nice grainy texture, very crispy—even the bottom—with a less airy crust (definitely NOT Neapolitan)

Favorite pizza: Classics like Prosciutto e Funghi

Atmosphere: Unpretentious, laid-back, with friendly, attentive service

Big plus: The cozy gravel patio, where you feel like you’re on vacation in the summer under the green canopy of the plane trees

Good to know: No reservations, cash only

Price for a Margherita: 9.50 euros (as of October 2025)

Bottom line: Pizza & fun! Tutti Frutti—always a good choice

Verace

Pizza on a red and white tablecloth

Who's it for? For couples who want to spend a romantic evening together—and everyone else ;-)

The dough: Pizza just like in Naples—with a nice, crispy crust

Favorite pizza: Mortazza—with mortadella from Bologna, pistachio pesto, and shredded burrata

Atmosphere: Cozy—with red-and-white tablecloths and hand-painted ceramics. In the summer, you can sit on a wooden terrace on lively Luisenstraße

Big plus: The atmosphere

Good to know: Closed on Sundays

Price for a Margherita: 14.50 euros (as of October 2025)

Conclusion: “Verace” means “the true, the genuine.” Truly good pizza!

De Paola

Counter at Pizzeria De Paola with pizza boxes

Who's it for? Families, friends, girlfriends—simply anyone who’s spontaneously craving a really good pizza

The crust: Super crispy, with a slightly thicker edge

Favorite pizza: Luigi—with Parma ham, arugula, and Parmesan

Atmosphere: Authentic Italian takeout vibe—awesome!

Big plus: The location on Nerostraße—perfect for stopping by Nero22 (opens in a new tab) afterward for a glass of wine

Good to know: Unfortunately, they’re closed on Saturdays

Price for a Margherita: 8 euros (as of October 2025)

Bottom line: Just like in Italy!

Casa delle Olive

Topped pizza

Who is it for? Couples who want to spend a lovely evening in a sophisticated, modern atmosphere

The crust: Neapolitan-style—crispy, with a thick, fluffy, slightly “charred” edge

Favorite pizza: Be sure to check out the specials menu and go for the truffle pizza

Atmosphere: Modern, sophisticated, with columns and retro-chic chairs

Big plus: The location on Obere Webergasse. Afterward, just pop by “Weinod” (opens in a new tab) or “Wine in the Hood” (opens in a new tab) for a glass of wine

Good to know: There are two dining rooms—it’s better to book the one without the pizza oven ;-)

Price for a Margherita: 11.90 euros (as of October 2025)

Bottom line: Very nice, cozy, upscale!
