Johannes de Laspée, a pedagogue and Pestalozzi student who founded modern educational establishments in Wiesbaden and the Rheingau region, died 200 years ago. In his honor, we are showing three films in our 'Tiefenschärfe' series, which takes place in cooperation with the Ev. Stadtakademie and the Kath. Erwachsenenbildung Wiesbaden, which take us to schools around the world.

The biopic starring Mala Emde tells the adventurous story of the making of Keith Jarrett's best-selling jazz solo album, 'The Köln Concert'. It is a recording of the jazz pianist's concert, which took place in January 1975 at the Cologne Opera House.

On Monday, May 12, at 7 pm, we will once again be showing the documentary ENNIO MORRICONE - THE MAESTRO about the legendary composer as part of the International May Festival. The film will be preceded by an introductory talk with guests from 'Notte Morricone'.

German director and screenwriter Angelina Maccarone tells her gripping story about growing xenophobia from four perspectives, including that of conservative politician Mathilda Marquardt, played by Barbara Sukowa.
