I Am The River, The River Is Me

Māori riverkeeper Ned Tapa takes the film crew, international water advocates and activists on a canoe trip down the Whanganui River in Aotearoa, New Zealand. The 320-kilometre-long river is the first in the world to be recognized as a legal entity. For over 150 years, the Māori have passionately fought to protect their sacred lifeline. Along this spiritual waterway, travelers share stories of resilience, destruction and healing. A call to rethink our value systems towards nature and community - for the benefit of all future life on earth.

"I feel it is my responsibility to ensure that I pass on to others what I have been given." Ned Tapa
